Follow These Steps For Results
Disinfect sheets and other bedding in your dryer. High temperatures are critical to killing bed bugs, with exposure to 120° F heat for 20 minutes usually sufficient to kill all life stages. When stripping beds, gather linens carefully so as not to dislodge eggs or drop bed bugs onto the floor. Prevent accidental spread by bagging linens prior to moving them to the dryer.
Thoroughly vacuum all 6 sides of box springs and mattresses. Vacuum all cracks and crevices within the furniture of the bed and nearby electrical outlets, baseboards and floors prior to treatment. Empty the vacuum contents into a plastic bag and discard in trash.
To effectively eliminate a bed bug infestation, spray at least two kinds of liquid killers to attack pests with a unique combination of ingredients. We recommend our Gold Label Bed Bug Killer, which uses microfoam technology to kill bed bugs in just 5 minutes. This EPA-approved formula can be applied throughout your home, including entire mattresses. We also recommend our Black Label Bed Bug Killer, which you can use as a spot treatment on bed frames, box springs, empty dressers, moldings, and luggage.
Never combine wet and dry bed bug treatments. When liquids have thoroughly dried, we recommend applying a powder combination that works as a one-two punch. First, use our Yellow Label Diatomaceous Earth Powder, which breaks down bed bug skin. Then use our Black Label Silica Powder, which dehydrates bed bugs from the inside out. Pests cannot become resistant to either of these powders! We include a duster for hard to reach places including electrical outlets.
Mattress and box spring encasement is a critical last step. Our Encasement Covers work by trapping hidden bed bugs and preventing new ones from entering. By eliminating this refuge for bed bugs, you have taken an important step in removing them for good. For long-lasting treatment, we recommend that you purchase covers for your mattress AND box spring, as both are hiding places for bugs.
